Run-up to Cape Town Fashion Week 2010

As a last minute inclusion in Cape Town Fashion Week 2010 Wild Fig got the perfect opportunity to show our Spring/Summer 2010.11 Collection to a more than welcoming Cape Town crowd.

The Experience was a learning one. Working with producer Mary Reynolds for the first time. Lugging our whole collection and shoes to CT for fittings (and it happened quickly - TRAMPS, you were very UN-Capetonian in your pace), lugging it back. Hassles with hangers, getting a crowd together etc was all quite new to us. We loved it though. A great experience - for who knows where in the world we might show someday?

The hair and make-up team assembled in this "tent" within the Cape Town Convention Centre. A very relaxed atmosphere. Very different to Joburg Fashion Week where everything happened within site of the bustling crowd.

 

Models from all over the continent and world for that matter work in South Africa. This Sudanese beauty gets made up for our show on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
